That’s the experience and treatment our furry guests receive when they check into a PetSmart PetsHotel®. Our environment is designed to feel like home, where pets can engage in the activities they love all day.
Our care begins and ends with our PetsHotel Pet Care Specialists, associates who are hand-picked for their love of pets. They are on-site 24 hours, seven days a week, and make all of our guests’ experience an exceptional one.
In fact, our associates go above and beyond for the love of pets, each and every day. An associate in our Springfield, Mo. PetsHotel spent much needed extra time with Georgia, a Hurricane Katrina survivor and very timid, anxious Bloodhound mix who was not good at making friends or being away from home. PetsHotel Manager Vicky Cunningham noticed during Georgia’s first visit her hesitant demeanor and failure to eat. During her stay at the PetsHotel, the resident pet trainer worked with Georgia to help her make new friends, learn to enjoy group play and happily eat dinner out of the palm of associates' hands.
Georgia’s story and experience is simply one example of our Pet Care Specialists’ dedication and devotion to our visitors. From the moment your furry family member walks through the door, to the minute you pick them up, their health and happiness are our top priority. Our variety of rooms can accommodate a dog’s size, number of pets in the family (if multiple pet family members want to share a room) and the amount of extras and pampering you request for your pet. Dogs relax in atrium dog rooms or can upgrade to suites and luxury packages. Once a day, canines are also offered dog-safe soft serve ice-cream and chew on toys oozing with flavored fillings, a particular treat after romping with friends during supervised playtime.
Feline guests unwind in private Kitty Cottages with comforts from home and play with trained Pet Care Specialists during their exclusive "TLC time." There’s even a Bone Booth where your pet can take your calls to check in or say “meow” or "woof!"
To ensure your pet’s safety, Pet Care Specialists, who provide round-the-clock care, are trained in the safety and emergency care requirements of dogs and cats. A veterinarian is on-call 24 hours a day and your pet’s daily activities are documented on activity sheets called “Pawgress Reports”--giving you a summary of your pet’s stay.
