What does a cold dog nose really mean?

Well, the truth of the matter is, no matter how much we feel our dogs nose, it is not a true indicator of how our pooch is really feeling. A dog can have a cold nose and be sick or a warm nose and be totally healthy.

Humidity, body temperature and the flow of tears through the ducts into the nose, all play a role in how our dogs nose will feel when we touch it. Remember, it is important not to get alarmed from what you may experience when you feel your dogs nose ... it is not a true indicator. Rule of thumb ... watch for eating habits, energy level and personality changes, if you are worried about your pets health.
