PetSmart Adoptions Customer Success Story - Angel

Pet Parent Dianne was shopping when she spotted Angel, an 8-year-old, six pound Toy Poodle sitting very small in a large cage. “You have to see this dog,” Diane told my mother as she brought her into the store. A man, the dog’s would-be foster parent, was holding the dog. When Diane’s mother reached out, Angel went willingly into her arms. The two bonded immediately.

“We were told Angel had been brought to a vet for euthanasia, but he refused, believing that her flea allergies and severe arthritis could be managed,” says Diane. “But this isn't about us saving Angel's life. It's really about the change she made in my mother’s life. My mother is 83 now. It's hard to find activities to interest her, but Angel provided the answer —instant love in a small package. She is a tiny miracle with a very large heart. Angel is not just another pretty face … she is a devoted companion, cheerful entertainer and surprisingly effective watchdog. She and my mother share many challenges (including blindness and diabetes), but they found each other to love unconditionally,” says Diane.
