Reduce Your Carbon Paw Print When Traveling with Pets

Hitting the road with your pet? There’s no better way to see the country than with your best buddy. But remember to stay as socially conscious when you’re traveling as you do at home. For starters, don’t be tempted to trash the container you’re using to store food and water. Invest in a food and water container you can re-use on all trips.

Traveling during the summertime? Consider rolling down the windows in lieu of blasting the air conditioner—that way you and Fido can both get a breath of fresh air.

And take climate into consideration when choosing your destination. Some dogs and cats are better suited to certain climates. For instance, your Husky might love a trip to Colorado during the winter months whereas your pug’s intricate snout design might not fare best in locales where heavy air conditioning is constantly required.

And as always, wherever you make a pit stop, clean up after your pet.

I found her digging in a trash can, so she LOVES to eat everything. She's a talker. Likes to chase her sister around the house.
