Abandoned

Alright, so Saturday I came home and discovered three puppies in the back of my dad's pick up truck. Two are males and one is a female. I have thought about keeping the two males and giving up the female for adoption. Is this smart? Should I only keep one? Or would having a playmate be better for both of the males?

Also: I eventually want an inside dog. I'm a junior in college , so when I graduate I would love to get a dog that I can have inside with me. Would it be smart to train the puppy now to be inside or can I wait a couple of years and then train it to be inside?

I am in need of some serious advice to anyone out there who can offer any! Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for the input! I really appreciate it. I understand about the dominance thing... Maybe I'll keep one then? I have no idea on their breeds...They kind of look like beagle mixes... but I'm planning on taking Flyer to the vet when I get home next week to see about getting him on some sort of vet plan and maybe even obedience school. I'm trying to talk my mother into letting me housebreak him so I can take him when I finally get my own place. I'm hoping she'll break...but I guess we'll see. Hopefully when I take him to the vet I can also get insight on the breed as well.

Keeping two males could be a problem down the road with dominance. If it were me I'd keep a male and female being sure to have them spayed & neutered. Be sure to find a very good home for any puppies you decide not to keep. If you want an inside dog you should train it that way from the beginning so they learn potty training and other indoor behavior. Do you have any idea what breeds the dogs may be? Will they be big or small? That may help you decide if you want to keep more than one. I wish you well :-)
