At PetSmart, training is about more than just basic commands; it's about building relationships between pets and parents. Debbie has been a Pet Trainer at PetSmart in Dallas for more than six years, playing an integral role in positive reinforcement-based dog training. The goal of our training program is to teach pet parents how to communicate effectively with their dogs. This not only creates better relationships between dogs and their pet parents, it also prevents relinquishment to shelters resulting from behavior-related problems. In addition to being our resident dog training guru, Debbie is working to earn her master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and is a proud pet parent to a German Shepherd named Kyra.
