It's hard to think of neat things to get someone that has a reptile/amphibian (or something new for your own small pet) but one great idea I'd recommend is the gift of an upgraded environment.
There are a ton of little things you can give that will make your pet's home even better, and bring a smile to a reptile/amphibian lover's face:
For example, I have fire-bellied toads and when I first brought them home I basically had a starter habitat for them. Shortly after, my fiance and I upgraded them to a new home. Some items we included that turned their lives from ordinary to razzle-dazzle were:
- T-Rex Turtle Beach Vivarium Background - hands-down the coolest thing we got for them: they love it and are able to go from moist land to water easily.
- A cool waterfall filter (not only does it help keep their home clean, it provided a place for them to climb, rest and refresh.)
- Acquatic plantlife they can hide in. Lounges, ladders and places to hide make excellent options.
For reptile aquariam or habitat decoration ideas, visit PetSmart.com or your local PetSmart store. Happy gift-giving!

Great suggestions - I'll have to check out the worm farm, myself for my toads!

I have a bearded dragon lizard and there are Live Worm Farm that sell some worms that are considered delicacies to beardies (they can cost about $20-$25, but hey, it's the holidays)! :) :)Also, I do walk Pudgy on a leash and he'll be getting a new one for Xmas this year. They're usually in the reptile aisle at Petsmart, but I don't often see a large, so it might require an online order for those needing size large.

This weekend, we decided to take my own advice here, and we added more cool stuff to our toads' tank. We have a rock/waterfall filter in one corner and the Turtle Beach on the other side, with water in the middle. They try to leap across, so we gave them a cool bridge, jungle-looking thing. We also added some moss, and now they're so happy! They snuggle down in the moss, hop across or hang out in their jungle. I'm so glad we got it for them!
