I have an eleven year old cat , Rose , and she has been going through stages where she pukes up her food a few times a week and then she's fine until like a month later. she only pukes up food though , not stomach acid or anything like that but i dont know what to do. Should i try switching her food or should i take her to the vet?
I have had similar problems with my cat. She has done this for a few years now. I used to work for a veterinarian...he couldn't find anything wrong with her. I had her on special food - Science Diet - for a while. I can't remember the type, but it was basically for sensitive stomachs. I honestly don't think it helped in my situation, but it might be a different story with your kitty...they are all different, just like us :)
Also, I have found that you definitely should switch her food gradually. It seems to be too big of a shock to my kitty's system if I don't mix the foods, etc.
Bottom line is...if you are concerned about Rose, just take her to a vet and see what they have to say. Plus, at 11yrs old, I'm sure she could use a good Sr check-up anyway. If something is wrong, the sooner you catch it the better. If everything is ok and she just needs a change of diet, you will feel very relieved, right? :)
Let me know if you find something that works!

Thank you for the advice and I will most definitely let you know what happens. I will probably set her up an appointment at the end of the month.
