Life with My 20-pound Rabbit
October 19, 2009
The day I came home with my newly adopted rabbit, I will never forget the look on my mother’s face. I lugged the large dog carrier into my bedroom where my mother was curiously waiting for the newest addition to my pet family. She would later state how she imagined that a “bunny” would come hopping its small, fluffy self …Read more »
Sharing is overrated - I don't care what they say
October 18, 2009
Last night, I had a sleepover at my bestfriend's house. Her parents went to a wedding so my mom and dad offered to stay there and take care of Niko and her brother Bentley. Everything was going perfectly until my mom and dad came back from dinner. We have a routine at home... mom lays on the couch and I find a …Read more »
Rosso is a senior dog?
October 16, 2009
...Did anyone tell him? Rosso is feeling better (he’s had Valley Fever). And I can tell this not so much from his healthy weight gain, or the fact that he’s not hanging around in pain, but because he’s starting to act like a naughty puppy. Somehow getting better has brought my dog back to his childhood—a fountain of youth as it …Read more »
I made it - I'm T-W-O
October 15, 2009
I'm two. As is two-cute-for-words! Last week, I celebrated my birthday with my mom and dad. Honestly, it was kinda of lame. My mom promised to take me to the park at least three days in a row. One day, I got all suited up and made it into the car to learn that it was "too hot" to go play. …Read more »
Dog-related injuries
October 13, 2009
Everyone’s got their quirks, right. This week we discovered one of Bruno’s that had previously remained dormant. We realized that any time Bruno hears someone make a blowing noise, e.g. blowing out a candle, blowing dust off a surface, etc) he goes completely ballistic.
Catch me if you can

As I was leaving for my morning run last Friday, Mogwai must have thought I needed some extra motivation because he bolted out of the front door right in front of me. To make matters worse, my neighbor’s black cat just so happened to be out in my front yard. I’m assuming Mogwai must have caught a glimpse of the …Read more »
A loving little one
October 9, 2009
I cleaned Butterscotch’s home yesterday (a lovely split-level with a loft upstairs) and got to thinking about how surprised I am at how neat guinea pigs are. Honestly when I was looking for a small pet for my daughter, I never considered guinea pigs. I was more considering the mouse or gerbil route. But, being as I am a PetSmart …Read more »

My dog stinks.
October 5, 2009
I've always taken it upon myself to gives my dogs baths myself. It's not the easiest task, but fortunately, both of them are pretty easy going about the whole process. While no one likes the smell of wet dog, I've noticed that Bruno smells really sweet after a bath, while Molly continues to stink. It's weird - she smells terrible the …Read more »
Fall is here!
October 1, 2009
Fall has always been my favorite time of year. I love everything about it. The start of a coolness in the evening, Fall colors, Fall fashion, Fall foods… Being in Arizona, the Fall is particularly welcome to me. While nearly devoid of Fall colors in the trees, there are still signs that I cherish. The coolness and light breeze in …Read more »
