No use crying over spilt milk
October 23, 2009
Molly and Rosso don’t know who’s boss. Or, more specifically, I’m realizing they think they are boss. I’m not sure if they’ve determined who between them is the most-most in charge, but they seem to agree it’s not me.
Guilty Pet Parent
October 23, 2009
Last weekend I boarded the dogs for the first time, hello separation anxiety (for me, not them). I took them to the closest PetsHotel to my house, and had them put together in an atrium room. I have to say that even though I knew they'd be just fine, and would probably enjoy being at "camp," I felt terribly guilty as if I'd abandoned them.

October 22, 2009
Here are my top five reasons for hiding treats 5. My friend Phoebe loves to come over because she always gets a free snack. 4. Hello, I've got to watch this girlish figure. If I ate everything my mom gave me I'd be a bowling ball. This is why I save them for my friends. 3. You just never know when you're going …Read more »

A little story for ya...starring Honey Pie The Corgi
October 21, 2009
Honey Pie ate a whole brick of cheese on Sunday. A big brick. One of those bricks you get at Costco. Pounds of it. And it was my fault. I had been eating cheese & crackers on the couch, cutting small slices of cheesy goodness as I went along munching it but became distracted, left the couch and left the cheese within eyeline of one …Read more »

October 21, 2009
One of my favorite quotes comes from Albert Schweitzer who said, “There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats." Admittedly, I can go without the music for a few days – but definitely not the cats. So you can only imagine how thrilled I was when the good folks at Pets.com asked me to …Read more »

October 19, 2009
Dr. Suzanne Hetts, Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist Many families enjoy including their pets in their Halloween festivities. Having your pets be an integral part of your family is always a good thing, but you’ll also want to think ahead in order to avoid inadvertently putting your pets in harms way or causing them undue stress.
How to Potty Train an Adult Dog
October 19, 2009
When I rescued Mogwai 6 months ago, I was in the dark as to what potty training he had undergone. And he has been so inconsistent with his potty habits that it’s driving me bonkers! He has some of the weirdest potty habits. First, he will never go number 2 while on a walk or in front of people. Meanwhile, he lifts …Read more »
And Kitten Makes Three
October 19, 2009
Michelle T. -PetSmart Charities, Inc. I’ve had cats all my life. Growing up, we always had at least three cats, and sometimes more. When I left home for college and lived in the dorm for a year, I felt that dorm room was extremely lacking without a feline companion. Even before I secured my own place for the second year of …Read more »
