Bouncy
September 18, 2009 -
Molly is a happy dog. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a happier dog. There are times she literally skips around the house with her favorite toy (Kong items, which are the only thing that lasts with her; or, if she’s lucky, her stuffed hippo).
“Squeaka, squeaka, SQUEAKA!” resonates through the house as she bounces from room to room. Luckily for Rosso, she can entertain herself this way for hours. Otherwise, she’s batting at him with her paw. Bouncy and aging Rosso don’t exactly mix. And while he’ll amuse her for a time, you can see the look of exasperation in his eyes. Go away, hyper one.
We’ve taken to calling her antics bouncy—the word that captures the extreme happiness of Miss Molly. And she is too bouncy for Rosso’s taste. In fact, I think that’s what defines her favorite set of toys. They either need to make happy noises or bounce satisfactorily. Testing this theory, I bought her a set of racquet balls. Eureka! Now she will entertain herself even longer by bouncing the ball out of her mouth and all around the house.
The only thing is, I’m not sure which is bouncier, the ball or her!
