Getting one step closer to brighter days with every dose ...

Another week, more Prozac for Tater … no results just yet!

My beloved kitty Tater has been taking his fish-flavored Prozac for a couple of weeks now.  The fish flavoring must not be authentically fishy because when I tried putting it on cat treats, leftover turkey, wet cat food and even real tuna fish he snubbed it.

Clearly, he is on to me.

So, we’re doing it the old-fashioned way, with me loading up the syringe, prying open his mouth and squirting it in as quickly as I can.  He turns his head and makes the most awful faces … but then calms down, licks his chops and we’re done.  We both shake it off, hug and make up until next time.  Another dose, another day of hoping that it takes effect soon.

The veterinarian said it could be a few weeks before we start to see a positive difference.  We’re not quite there yet … but I am hoping that with each squeeze of that syringe, we are one step closer to brighter days.
