Getting in the swing of things

November 7, 2009 -

Pet:

Well, Chelsea and I are learning so much, maybe its just me. I am trying my best to get out of lazy mode and she is slooooooowwwwwwly getting out of i'm just gonna bite you mode. We went on a long walk today and she wasn't really used to it. We usually just go for very short walks and come back home. My boss said she is probably snippy because she doesn't exercise enough. Well after this long walk we just had she is really more calm. She even let me pet her without her trying to gnaw my fingers off. I must say its really amazing how she is developing. She is learning to make her squeaky toys make noise, before she just chewed and nothing happened. I assume she is getting stronger. I love her a lot. She is staying in her room when I am at work, she has potty pads and the good Bose radio to keep her company. She has all of her toys in there and food, so I don't feel horrible leaving her.

We are going to the vet today. We will be scheduling her spay and she will get final shots so puppy training and play dates here we come. I will also be more relaxed in walking her because she can sniff until her heart's content without me thinking to worst. We made a transition to Purina One from Royal Canine. She actually likes it a lot more. I got her some chicken and brown rice treats from trader joe's and she loves those. I don't think there are any other breakthroughs, its just about me getting better and helping her be great.
