sad news

September 27, 2009 -

Last week I joined others in Colorado for a long walk in estes park to raise money for canine cancer research. I learned that about 1 out of 4 dogs dies of cancer. I walked in memory of my old dog who I lost a couple years ago to cancer which had spread around before we knew it. I had a wonderful time talking to others and even saw some elk along the way.
My mom came over my house tonight to tell me that her 10 year old golden retriever was just diagnosed yesterday with cancer. She won't take extrordinary measures to prolong his life. It is so sad he is so very full of life. He is always so happy and lovely. I missed him since I moved 30 minutes away and only see him every so often now. I am saddened by memories and feel badly that there are more sad memories that are coming up. I love the little man!
