My dog stinks.

I've always taken it upon myself to gives my dogs baths myself. It's not the easiest task, but fortunately, both of them are pretty easy going about the whole process.

While no one likes the smell of wet dog, I've noticed that Bruno smells really sweet after a bath, while Molly continues to stink. It's weird - she smells terrible the entire time she's wet, even after the shampoo.

I hope she's not self conscious about her funky odor, it's gotta be hard to feel like a classy lady while you smell like she does, but thank goodness when she dries the smell goes away.

Why do dogs smell SO bad when they get wet. Is it a natural defense of some sort? I wonder if anyone has any thoughts...?
