Off Leash Bliss - Am I in Heaven?

September 1, 2009 -

My mom decided it was a brilliant idea to take me from Arizona to Boston via a very small black meshed bag.  I wasn't a fan of this idea, but she gave me some tasty purple tablets (aka Childrens Bendryl) which made me sleepy.  Before I knew it, I was visiting this place that she calls home.

The first night was interesting.  My grandfather made the loud noises all night - it woke me up.  I couldn't help but growl and bark at him - after all, her was making the same noises.

The next day, i spend it with my Auntie Andrea, my mom's sister.  She took me to the park and I met this big annoying dog who followed me around all day.  Then she had the nerve of chewing on my favorite toy, my kong bone - the one you can put the treats inside.  She chewed it up so badly that my mom had to throw it away.  I think she was more upset than I was.

My mom took me to this place with lots of soft sand.  And to my suprise, she took off my leash so I could run around freely, wind blowing in my ears.  Normally, my mom keeps me under lock and key.  I must admit that I can be pretty naughty and run away.  Maybe since I showed her that I'm a good girl, she'll give me the same freedom when I get back to the heat.

Freedom is fantastic.  I splashed in the water and chased Grady around.  We even played hide and seek in some really, really tall grass.  The next day, we went to this place with really tall leafy things.  I've never seen anything like it before.  They were very green and shaded the path.

My mom seems a little sad to be back and at work.  And, I really do miss running around the country side and playing in the ocean.  Maybe she'll take me back there some day.
