Can your pet be a star?

Pet:
My dynamic duo, Loki and Mogwai, had their modeling debut last week for a direct mailer that focuses on small/toy breed dogs. They modeled a pink stroller in a photo that will be included in a mail piece that will be sent out to millions of Pet Parents! Even in pink, my boys are secure in their masculinity and look fabulous!
The photo shoot was a lot of fun! Loki has modeled clothing a number of times in the past, but this was Mogwai’s first time in front of the camera. They did great together and I was really proud of how well-behaved they were and how well they listened to my direction. It took quite a bit of practicing the week before to prepare for the big day, but it certainly paid off and their performance more than exceeded my expectations!
So, do you think your pet has what it takes to be a star? There are certain qualifications that make a pet a good model. Read the article A PetSmart Photographer's Tips on How to Take the Perfect Pet Photo for a first-hand interview from our resident pet photographer!
Some of the characteristics of a talented pet model are:
- Well-trained
- Comfortable in a studio environment
- Not afraid of camera flashes
Agencies, like A1 Animal Talent, provide services for animal models for television, movies and print. Look for agencies in your area if you think your pet has what it takes to be a star.
