A serial cat abuser and killer is on the loose in the Phoenix area. Wow, what a turnout! Tuesday night was the most successful Howl-o-ween event we've ever had at the Alliance PetSmart! I almost fell out laughing at the creativity of the costumes! Some of those pets had to be earning some serious "cookie points" going out in public looking as funny as they did.
October 27, 2009 —You always hear about people’s body language. Avoiding eye contact, crossed arms, playing with your hair, facial expressions. We use it and analyze constantly when we communicate with one another. How come it is so often overlooked when we communicate with our dogs or when we watch two dogs interact?

It’s a take-off from the 1960-something Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer movie and its Island of Misfit Toys, a place for not-so-perfect playthings. October 23, 2009 —Last weekend I boarded the dogs for the first time, hello separation anxiety (for me, not them).
I took them to the closest PetsHotel to my house, and had them put together in an atrium room. I have to say that even though I knew they'd be just fine, and would probably enjoy being at "camp," I felt terribly guilty as if I'd abandoned them.
