July 20, 2009 —This weekend I figured that I'd procrastinated long enough, and purchased tooth brushes and toothpaste for the dogs.
I've never been especially keen on brushing dogs' teeth. I've had the misconception that it's just for poodles or little white dogs, but have recently learned that it's important for everybody.
July 17, 2009 —How many times have you been around a puppy and sure enough they bite you (because they are playing) with those pin sharp teeth? Ouch!
Sometimes we tell them “No bite!” and there are a number of other ways that people try to teach their pups not to bite. They learn a hand in the mouth is bad.
July 16, 2009 —I've recently started running more often, and would love to be able to kill two birds with one stone, and exercise the dogs while I run.
Since I live in Phoenix, I wouldn't dream of doing this in the summer, but in the winter when it's gorgeous out, this could be a good plan.

July 13, 2009 —I’ve had pregnant friends complain to me how aggravating it is when every person they encounter disregards all social graces and assumes it’s appropriate to touch their bellies. I get the same waves of awkwardness when strangers come up and pet my dogs without acknowledging me.
